Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade

Gabrielle Union has been very open about her struggles with miscarriages throughout her adult life. When she revealed that her and husband, Dwyane Wade, had been trying for quite some time, unsuccessfully, to have a child, our hearts went out to her.

After discovering what may have been causing her miscarriages, Gabrielle continued to share her journey to motherhood with the world. Her openness to share what was happening was an inspiration for many so to see her finally welcome a baby into the world is a wonderful thing!

Early this November, Gabrielle shared that she and Dwayne welcomed a baby girl via a surrogate on November 7. The couple, who have been married since 2014, have had to deal with at least 8 or 9 miscarriages before finally using a surrogate to have a baby. Their daughter joins in with Dwayne’s three other children from his previous marriage.

To finally see Gabrielle have her child that she’s been waiting for all these years is truly a wonderful thing. She’s been so forthcoming with her struggle and how she’s been coping that it has made many cheer her on. Congratulation Gabrielle and Dwayne, we can’t wait to see your journey continue on with your new baby girl!
