Anna Kendrick and Twilight: All the other actors you forgot were in the saga

Anna Kendrick has entertained us well being the Pitch Perfect franchise. But In a tweet, she reminded us (and herself) that she was in the Twilight saga. However, there are a few other stars we completely forget were in the films.

After rewatching the Twilight saga after the original Twilight film celebrated its 10-year anniversary last month, it’s almost like we never watched the franchise before.

Sure, we know that Bella, Edward, and Jacob were the main three characters; the films were about vampires and werewolves; our teenage crush on Robert Pattinson (Edward) was misguided because we were really in love with Kristen Stewart (Bella). Other than that, it’s as if we never watched the movies because we just don’t remember anything in between—leave it to Twilight to make us feel old. But seriously, how did we graze over Anna Kendrick in the cast list?

However, we aren’t the only ones who completely forgot Anna played Jessica in the Twilight saga. On Monday, Kendrick jokingly tweeted that she completely forgot she was in the movies.

Thanks, Kendrick, for making our 12-year-old “Twihard” selves completely disgusted with our lackadaisical Twilight trivia knowledge.

As Cosmopolitan reports, Kendrick dedicated an entire chapter in her book, Scrappy Little Nobody, to her Twilight days. Maybe she did forget about her role as one of Bella’s besties. Regardless, if she’s like us, she was definitely reminded about it after binge-watching the movie franchise.

Kendrick isn’t the only hyper-popular actress in the Twilight saga. So, we rewatched the entirety of the franchise and made a brief list of all the actors and actresses that we completely forgot coexisted amid Bella’s love triangle (though it should’ve been a love rectangle).

Christian Serratos

That’s right. Long before Serratos started rocking a B.A. scar on her cheek as Rosita in The Walking Dead, the actress portrayed one of Bella’s human friends, Angela.

Edward and Jacob aside, fans were totally down to ship Bella and Angela. After all, Angela and Bella both shared some lingering glances in the first film. When Bella tells Angela that she’s “a strong independent woman,” Angela’s entire face lit up like nobody have told her that.

We could write an entire fanfic about why Bella should’ve ended up with Angela, but that’s beside the point… we already know they’re out there.

Rami Malek

Malek didn’t enter the scene in Forks, Washington, until Breaking Dawn Part 2, but he was always our favorite vampire. Edward might be a psionic mind reader, but Malek’s character, Benjamin, was a glorified elemental bender who would make Katara proud of his water bending. We’re suspicious the aqua forcefield he made before he joined the Cullens wasn’t even CGI, Malek can just do that.

Benjamin might not be in line to be the next avatar, but Malek must have an affinity for the world of elemental benders. Around the same time he portrayed Benjamin, he also voiced Tahno in The Legend of Korra.

Not only do we need to brush up on our Twilight history, but we also need to brush up on Malek’s IMDB page stat. (Sorry, Malek. Does this make us bad fans?)

Noel Fisher

The anarchist vampire who just wants to watch the Volturi burn (i.e., Vladimir) is actually played by Noel Fisher. You know, the same actor who plays Mickey on Shameless.

Obviously, Noel looks completely unrecognizable with stark white hair and the quintessential red vampiric eyes, but that’s definitely him in Breaking Dawn Part 2.

Lee Pace

Just so we have our Lee Pace trivia in order, so far he’s made us thirst over:

  • A man who can’t touch anyone or else he’ll kill them (Ned, Pushing Daisies)
  • An intergalactic, overgrown, murderous smurf (Ronan, Guardians of the Galaxy)
  • An angsty elf (Thranduil, The Hobbit franchise)
  • And a vampire who hates The Beatles and British people in general (Garret, Breaking Dawn Part 2)

At least Lee can validate all our self-assured claims that we don’t have a “type” after our latest online dating mishaps. This is just more proof that we’re eternally grateful for the Twilight saga cast, even though they simultaneously ruined us and our expectations.

Obviously, we remembered some of the stars, other than the big three. We remember Dakota Fanning playing one of the Volturi members, Jane—mostly because that was a pretty big star-studded reveal even at the time of the final installment of the Twilight saga.

We also remember Peter Facinelli portraying Dr. Carlisle Cullen. After all, he did also play Dr. Cooper in Nurse Jackie. Apart from the aforementioned cast, there are a ton of other notable actors in the Twilight franchise.
