Five words: People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive. Idris Elba has always been one of the sexiest men alive, but People magazine confirmed it recently, and we have to say they made the right choice. Imagine being able to say that THE sexiest man alive came to your holiday dinner? Those are some major bragging rights.

Besides being the Sexiest Man Alive in 2018, Idris has also had iconic roles on shows like The Wire, The Office, and Luther and as Heimdall in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He could share all the dirt about the MCU that you’ve been dying to know, and it would be even lovelier hearing it in his charming British accent.

Basically, if Idris Elba was anywhere near our dinner, we would probably immediately turn into Kelly Kapoor on The Office and be obsessed with him. That is one handsome, well-spoken man and it would be hard to resist his charm! He’s an insanely talented actor to boot, so he’s basically irresistible. The other guys on this list so far are all handsome men, but none of them have the accent (except Tom Hardy of course).

Idris is an actor and a People’s Sexiest Man Alive, but he’s also a dad and a gentleman. That makes him even more attractive in our eyes. He even revealed some details in his People interview that somehow made us love him even more: he’s a fan of Lady Gaga and his biggest celeb crush is Serena Williams. We love a man who supports strong, successful women!
