Rebecca is somehow helping everyone around her rather than just herself on this week’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. But oh, does she have a lot of work to do.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has shown a lot of growth for Rebecca and, this week, she’s helping her friends. — even if that’s not necessarily something she wants to do. Still, this shows how much Rebecca is growing as a person, because she’s making sure those around her are doing well rather than focusing on herself.
Nathaniel also has a moment this episode when Heather reaches out and tells him to be a nicer person. One of the problems with his relationship with Rebecca was that she didn’t want to go back down that path of deceit with one another and so Nathaniel left her heart broken.
Now that everyone is starting to work on themselves, Rebecca is, surprisingly, the one who is fixing everything. It is as if she learned from the last three seasons and is starting to make real changes in her life (never too late, right).
For so long, we’ve seen Rebecca Bunch take advantage of her friends. Using them to get to Josh, getting them in trouble trying to hide her messes and then, at the end of the day, they all still stuck by her. So now that she is in a better place, watching her actually work towards making it all up to them is going to be wonderful.
Last week, Rebecca went a little back into her old ways but she realized her mistake and apologized, something that would have taken the old Rebecca a long time to do. So maybe this week we’ll get to see really how the new Rebecca works with her friends and appreciates those who have stood by her through everything she went through.
