Dancing with the Stars power rankings: Country Night chaos
2. Team Joe-Down: 26
Everything about this can be summed up by how Joe was put on a mechanical bull while DeMarcus, Alan, and Juan Pablo all got a section in unison. As you might expect with DeMarcus on the team, though, there were some crazy lifts — and they had a good song too in “Country Girl.”
Alexis had to keep up with three pros at the same time, and Bruno praised her for that. Carrie Ann dubbed it a “harder” performance compared to Team Hay Now, but at the same time, it did expose some weaknesses. This was the hotter number, as Carrie Ann and Bruno both pointed out, but at points it just didn’t live up to the rhythm and verve of “Country Girl.”
1. Team Hay Now: 29
I will give props to Bobby where they are due. He can pick a team. All four couples (Bobby and Sharna, John and Emma, Milo and Witney, and Evanna and Keo) on this team looked like they were having a great time, and turns out John can still do a great yell. Evanna in particular held her own against the three female pros, and there was a lot of fun in this routine even though there was actual dancing too.
“I guess I loved it,” Len said. “Everyone shone,” Bruno said, and I have to agree, because this team was ultimately really well-balanced. Sure, Bobby and Sharna might be one of the lower-scoring couples on this season, but even though I usually put them in the same tier as Joe and Jenna, there’s still a level of difference between them. That was made clear in this performance, too.
