James Wan announces that Aquaman is officially complete

After two years of hard work and dedication, Aquaman has finally been completed, according to the film’s director, James Wan.

The DCEU is looking to turn things around with its only movie of 2018. There are high hopes and expectations being placed on Aquaman, and now it seems that the movie is finally finished. James Wan took to Instagram to share the news about the film, while also thanking everyone who has put so much work into the project.

In the post from Wan, he pointed out that the movie has been a massive undertaking, consuming all of his time over the last two years. But, it is finally completed, and he wanted to thank everyone for their hard work.

Wan said, “I can’t THANK enough the amazing post team of VFX/editorial/ sound for working tirelessly around the clock — crazy long days, 7 days a week, for many, many, many weeks without a day off — towards making this a unique and beautiful film.”

As Screen Rant reported, this is not the first time the director has been at the helm of a major blockbuster movie. And with his past successes, it makes sense that Wan would turn to social media to give the fans what they want and need in order to build up excitement for Aquaman. Over the last two years, he has teased the fans with snippets of information, movie teasers, and pictures.

And now Aquaman is done and we just have to wait to see the final project. Luckily, we don’t have that long to wait. The movie is set to premiere in the U.S. on Dec. 21, with earlier releases in some international markets, such as China.

There are even rumors that the movie will have its red carpet premiere in November in London. And if that happens, reviews for the movie could be pouring in soon. While we may not get to see the movie until nearly the end of December, knowing the film is ready to go is definitely exciting and enough to inspire a lot of confidence in the work of Wan, the cast, and crew.

For now, Aquaman is predicted to have the lowest opening weekend of any of the previous DCEU movies. But all of this could change now that the movie is finished and ready for its premiere.

It’s time for the DCEU to build up the buzz for their newest solo adventure. And thanks to James Wan, Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, and the rest of the Aquaman cast, there is already plenty of excitement for fans who can’t wait to see the future king of Atlantis’ solo movie.
