Wondering why everyone goes to Paris in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald? Well, we now have the answer.

It’s countdown time right now. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald arrives in theatres within a matter of weeks and once it arrives, answers will be given. Well, that’s the hope anyway, hopefully, all of our speculations, theories, and guesses, that we have been making will finally be able to be answered.

However, one specific detail that can be answered right now, rather than when the movie comes out, is why everyone heads to Paris. And it has been revealed by J.K. Rowling herself.

New footage released by Warner Bros. Pictures shows the cast of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and J.K. Rowling discussing specific details about the upcoming movie. Rowling discusses at first Grindelwald, how long he has been imprisoned, and what leads up to his escape.

She then goes to explain what brings all of our characters to Paris. Revealing that the reason is Credence Barebone. Everything revolves around him, and this is why they all end up in the one location. Not because it is Paris itself, but because Credence is currently in Paris.

Rowling doesn’t go into any more specifics. So we still don’t know why they are all searching for Credence, although I am sure it will be something to do with what happened at the end of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. She also doesn’t go into the biggest question that many of us have had since we learned of his return. How? How is Credence still alive?
