Fantastic Beasts vs The Marauders: The story we deserve

When it was announced that Fantastic Beasts was going to be a series, many fans had one question: Why not give us the Marauders series we want?

There are plenty of us who love the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them series. It introduced us to a new era of Harry Potter and we’re getting to learn about characters we only heard about in passing. That being said, we fans have our favorite stories.

One of those stories goes hand in hand with the Marauders. Four best friends who are trying to get through school together? It’s wonderful and then they join the Order of the Phoenix! There is so much to explore there but, even though we keep asking for it, we’ve never gotten the series.

Instead, we got the Fantastic Beasts series. Not saying there is anything bad with the series, it just is part of the war that isn’t as exciting as James and his friends. We know so little about the man who would grow into being Harry’s father.

Granted, we didn’t know much about Newt Scamander before either. Basically, we just want a lot more content from Rowling and company. There is such a vast world out there in regards to Harry Potter and we just want to learn as much about him as we can.

So sure, we want a Marauders series but also it is lovely learning about Newt! Maybe we’ll get both sometime soon.
