Meghan Markle may be on her first royal tour with Prince Harry, but that won’t stop her from getting into the kitchen and doing some baking.

It has been an eventful week for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. From attending Princess Eugenie’s wedding, to heading off on their first royal tour as a married couple, to announcing they were having a baby, these royal newlyweds have had quite the busy schedule!

But even with all that happening, it seems that the Duchess of Sussex has still had time to show off her culinary abilities while in Australia. According to Delish, while visiting Dubbo, the couple arrived at the Mountain Farm, with a fresh-baked loaf of banana bread.

The Duchess of Sussex is said to have taken advantage of the kitchen at the Admiralty House that she and Prince Harry are staying at during this portion of the royal tour. In doing so, Markle showed that while she may now be a member of the royal family, that is not going to stop her from showing off some of her other talents, particularly in the kitchen.

With a schedule that included a stop at the Mountain Farm for tea, it makes sense that the Duchess would want to contribute something to the semi-intimate gathering. Considering it would be impolite to arrive empty-handed, and a duchess is always polite, it makes sense that Markle took the time the night before to bake some very special banana bread.

One of the people in attendance at the gathering even shared pictures of the banana bread on Twitter, while also revealing some of the special ingredients that made the loaf a hit. It seems that this is no ordinary banana bread, as it not only contains chocolate chips, but also hints of ginger.

While this sounds delicious to us, Meghan Markle was apparently concerned that she had used too much banana in her bread. After voicing her worries, Prince Harry reassured her that “there’s never too much bananas.” And we definitely agree with him!

To go along with the fresh banana bread and other sweet treats on offer, the royal couple enjoyed tea and the company, as well as a walk around the farm.

Whether the banana bread was inspired by some pregnancy cravings or not, it sounds like the bread was a hit with the people at the farm who had a chance to try it. From the excess of bananas to the ginger and chocolate chips, this sounds like a banana bread worth trying (and one we may have to try replicating for ourselves).
