There is an Alias reboot in the works, according to Jennifer Garner. But even as she is returning to the small screen for a new series, we don’t know if she will be in the reboot.

Jennifer Garner is officially returning to the small screen in the upcoming HBO series Camping. It has been 12 years since we last saw the actress on TV in the role of Sydney Bristow in the ABC’s Alias. And now it sounds like there will be even more Alias to look forward to after all this time.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Garner revealed that she has “heard that there’s an Alias reboot happening, but no one’s talked to me about it.” She knows that after 12 years, the series would be totally different, and even if she is not the star of the series.

Of course as the person who helped bring the original series to life, the actress said, “if they didn’t have me on as a guest, I would be very, very angry.” However, she also does not believe they have gotten far into the planning stages for the reboot since she has not heard anything about it just yet.

Garner may not have heard much about the Alias reboot, but at least fans of the show know it will be happening. And these comments on a reboot mark a slight change of tone for the actress who previously said that a revival of the show was up to its creator and she didn’t have any say in it.

Even as her current focus is on her upcoming series, Camping, it is nice to know that her past series is still something she thinks about and would be willing to contribute to. We can’t imagine having an Alias reboot without at least a cameo from Garner. She was Alias, and while a reboot would be a different series from the original, we would still want the star to be acknowledged after all this time.

Fans of the original series have something to look forward to now that we know the show is going to be getting the reboot treatment. Of course, we don’t know much more beyond that information, including when it will happen or who will be a part of the series.

We will just have to hold out hope that she at least makes an appearance in the new Alias, even if she does not return as the star.
