Lethal White is making it’s way to your TV via the BBC

Shortly after the release of the latest chapter in the Cormoran Strike series, Lethal White has been confirmed to make it’s way to your TV in the fourth instalment of Strike.

It was always the plan but it is nice to get the confirmation. J.K. Rowling’s latest novel Lethal White, written under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, has been confirmed for a TV adaptation in the Strike series.

Officially the next (fourth) chapter in the Cormoran Strike series. The first three chapters that came before Lethal White were, The Cuckoo’s Calling, The Silkworm and The Career of Evil. All of the previous chapters have been adapted for TV.

So it was inevitable that Lethal White would be too. We were all just waiting for that official announcement by the network, the BBC.

They made the announcement via social media, announcing that the 650+ page book will be adapted into a four-part series.

When the series will premiere is now the big question. The third installment of the Strike series didn’t premiere in the UK until 2017. It didn’t make it’s way to the US via Cinemax until 2018.

Lethal White has only just been released in bookstores now, so unless J.K. Rowling offered an advance copy, the script is still to be created.

So it is highly unlikely it will appear in 2018. Best hope is late 2019, but it would not be surprising if it was a 2020 release date.

With the US seemingly getting the series a year later, that could mean a 2021 release date for fans which is far from ideal. But at least we are getting the continuation, so I guess we shouldn’t complain too much.
