Netflix & Chills event has something for everyone
Netflix has a whole bunch of new content coming out in October, and they have a new scare matrix to help you find the right kind of trick or treat to watch.
This October, Netflix is putting together their new Netflix & Chills event which will be packed full of new spooky and horror-themed TV shows and films. The evnet will have something for everybody to enjoy.
If you’re someone who isn’t super into scary movies but still wants to enjoy Halloween-themed television and film, Netflix has got your back. While some people love all kinds of horror movies, others of us enjoy some of them but are little pickier about the kind of scares we can handle.
Check out one of the special trailers below:
If you’re looking to try some new things but don’t want to watch something that will creep or creep you out, Netflix has a new “scare factor matrix” to help you out. This matrix will organize the stream service’s Halloween and horror selections into the kind of scare you are looking for.
This link shows the graph of the scare factor, so you can decide what shows are best for you.
For example, lovers of the supernatural can try the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina which comes out on Oct. 26. Are you looking for something that’s grittier and scarier? The service will have Malevolent which will start on Oct. 5. For those who want something that’s terrifying, supernatural, and mesmerizing, The Haunting of Hill House will premiere on Oct. 12.
Now, if you’re someone who loves all the scary stuff, Netflix has a lot to offer this month. You can already watch The Shining. Or, you could try Apostle, which stars Dan Stevens as a man who fights to get his sister out of a religious cult.
Are you more into real-life scares? Netflix has got you covered there, too, with Haunted. This series is about real-life people who have witnessed supernatural events, and they will be telling their story first-hand.
We think this scare matrix sounds like a great idea. We all have our favorite kinds of scares and those that we just can’t handle seeing. It sounds like Netflix is making it easy to enjoy the kinds of Halloween tricks and treats you love while avoiding the ones you don’t enjoy too much.
What new Netflix October show are you most looking forward to?
