David Boreanaz – Angel

His role in the Buffy-verse: It seems fitting that Angel, the only vampire with a soul, would be Buffy’s soulmate. Their forbidden romance fueled many a teenaged fantasy in those early episodes of the series, and their romance was the stuff dreams are made of. Buffy and Angel’s relationship was fraught with troubles — both those they created and those imposed on them by the forces of good and evil.

Even though it seemed the two were meant to be together, fate had other designs, and the two went their separate ways, accompanied by a whole lot of tears from them and fans. David Boreanaz went on to star in his own show, but his character was never too far from Buffy, and he always comes running when she needs him.

His post-Buffy career: We all know he reprised his iconic role in his own series, although Angel took place in Los Angeles. Soon after his show ended, he took on the lead role in Bones, a series that showcased his charm and boyish charisma much more than the brooding vampire Angel.

Where is he now? Boreanaz is now exhibiting his chops as an action star in the CBS military drama SEAL Team. It follows a group of Navy elites as they go on the most dangerous and top secret missions. Boreanaz plays Jason Hayes, who is still brooding and damaged, but now he wears a flak jacket and carries a large weapon.
