Cancers are highly imaginative, which is something readers of Marie Lu’s Wildcard will definitely need to be. After all, Lu’s latest series is set in a world of technology that we can only imagine — and the first book, Warcross, certainly took the setting above and beyond.

Wildcard continues the story of Emika Chen after she barely survived the Warcross Championships. She learned a lot while playing spy for the creator of her favorite game, including the fact that she can’t trust him. With threats on every side, including a bounty on her head, it’ll take everything Emika has to take down Hideo.

We hope she can manage it. Wildcard comes out on September 18, and it’s sure to be as wild as the title implies.
