Is Credence Barebone secretly related to someone we’ve already met?

We don’t know that much about Credence Barebone but there are some interesting theories out there to how he connects back to the Harry Potter series.

There is a theory out there that Credence Barebone could have been Voldemort’s father. As Bustle points out, it doesn’t hold much weight after Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them but still, there are aspects of Credence’s character in the new film that we don’t know.

As far as we’re aware, he was killed at the end of the first movie and yet we’ve seen him in trailers and know that he somehow ends up with Nagini. If he has a connection to Nagini, the snake that Voldemort loves enough to make into a horcrux, wouldn’t that make Credence someone important to the dark lord?

He doesn’t necessarily have to be his father but still, he might have some connection to the Riddle family that had previously been examined. Look, it is just a little suspect that we all thought he might end up being Voldemort’s dad and then suddenly, Credence is the one who knows Nagini in her human form.

We’ll have to wait and see if they actually make it a connection that obvious or if Credence isn’t going to be connected to the Riddle family at all. It is still weird that, of all the people in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them series, Credence Barebone is the one who sought out Nagini and is with her. Who knows, maybe she’ll bring him to the Riddle family on her own.
