Just a gentle reminder that our world is basically Harry Potter at this point

With each passing day, it seems more and more like the world of Harry Potter is becoming our reality. Voldemort is reigning supreme and everything is on fire.

The world is a mess but it is very reminiscent of the world that J.K Rowling created for us with Harry Potter. Ruled by a mad men, the evil of the world reigned supreme and people got away with literal murder. Sounds a bit like what is happening in today’s world, right?

Maybe it is because today is just a firey storm of terrible things but it makes it feel like we need someone like Harry Potter to come around to save the day. With Harry, we can have hope. Faith that something is going to change.

Our current situation doesn’t have that. Even as we all listen to the Kavanaugh hearing and hope that Dr. Ford’s story changes something, the dark truth is that it probably won’t. We live in the darkest of timelines and there isn’t a Harry Potter to come and save us.

And sure, people like to say it is silly to compare real life to a book series but it gives us a sense of hope that things can change. That if we reflect back on this series that means so much to us, we can find our own way out.

That being said, who knows if we’re ever going to figure out how to fix this. Every time we attempt to, it just backfires. And even with Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, that isn’t bringing us the happiness that the Harry Potter series once did.

Next. Let’s unpack parts of the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald trailer. dark

Hopefully we’ll get someone to save the day sometime soon. Until then, we just have to hope that this world calms down.
