J.K. Rowling shoots down age old Harry Potter fan theory, again

It’s not the first time J.K. Rowling has had to come along and sort out this Harry Potter fan theory, but after the latest trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, she had to go out and do it all again.

One of the wonderful things about J.K. Rowling is she will happily confirm, or deny Harry Potter fan theories. Not all of them mind you, she lets us stew in wonder sometimes, but occasionally she pops up and lets us know if we got something right, or wrong.

J.K. Rowling’s most recent Harry Potter fan theory confirmation was, how she tried to tell everyone how to pronounce Hermione properly. She also laid comment to one of her favorite theories involving Dumbledore but wouldn’t say if it was true or not.

However, a fan theory that she has shot down before has resurfaced again, and the Harry Potter author has once again had to come out and shoot it down.

The theory involves Nagini the snake, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, and a zoo.

After it emerged that Nagini would feature in the up and coming Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald movie, fans took to Twitter sharing their reaction.

One fan tweeted, ‘And Nagini ended up in a zoo?!?’

This refers to the Harry Potter fan theory that the snake Harry met at the zoo and set free, was actually Nagini, Voldemort’s snake. This theory has been debunked many, many times, and by J.K. Rowling hereself.

But, even after debunking it so long ago, she once again had to come out and make it known, that the theory is incorrect. The snake Harry set free in the zoo was not Nagini.

It does make you wonder though, whatever did happen to the snake Harry set free?
