So, what is a Maledictus?

They are very different from an Animagus, where an Animagus can be both a man or a woman, a Maledictus can only be a woman. An Animagus can also change at will, a Maledictus can do that also, but one day will be unable to transform back.

They are different from Werewolves in how the curse of the blood is transferred. In the case of Werewolves, the curse can be transformed by being bitten, whereas a Maledictus can only pass on the curse from Mother to Daughter and only via birth.
