Jeremy Renner appears as one scuffed-up Hawkeye on Instagram

The cast of Avengers 4 has been peppering social media with pictures since reshoots began for the film. That includes Jeremy Renner, who’s joining in on the fun, too.

Avengers 4 reshoots are underway, and while we still don’t know the official title for the movie, that is okay. Instead, we have been getting plenty of pictures from the stars of the MCU to make up for the fact that details are being kept strictly under wraps. And one of the latest stars to grace us with a behind-the-scenes look once again is Jeremy Renner.

Over on Instagram, the Avengers star shared a picture that made it look like his character, Hawkeye, had perhaps been in a bit of a scuffle. And yet the smirk on his face made it clear that there is nothing wrong with getting a little banged up.

In the message attached to the picture Jeremy Renner told his followers, “Not everyday [sic] begins the same…but always finish with a smile.” After the message, he included a few different hashtags including, #work, #fun, #shakeitup, as well as a few that were much more Avengers oriented including #hawkeye and #marvel.

While Jeremy Renner might be teasing us with this look at a bruised Hawkeye, it is also a confirmation of sorts that we will be seeing this member of the Avengers back in action when Avengers 4 hits our screens. And since he was missing in action throughout all of the events of Avengers: Infinity War, having him back seems like exactly what the team needs.

As ComicBook reported, there was a reason that Hawkeye sat out of what happened in Infinity War, and it all had to do with his actions in Captain America: Civil War. Here is a hero with a family, who was imprisoned for taking sides with Captain America. In order to be with his family, just like Scott Lang, he chose house arrest. And that means he missed out on all of the action this last go around.

But as Kevin Feige indicated, having Hawkeye not in the midst of things was actually, “one of the best things that ever happened to Hawkeye.” Not only was it a chance to miss Renner in the role, but it reminded people who the character is more than just the “guy with the bow and arrow.” In fact, it made people ask where is Hawkeye, even as fans asked to see more of him.

With Jeremy Renner sporting a new look in Avengers 4, it looks like Marvel fans might finally get to see more of who Hawkeye is, including his comic transformation into his alter ego, Ronin. Whatever happens, though, we have to admit we are just glad to be getting the character back and ready for more action.
