Puzzlewood, UK

You might remember the Forest of Dean from its brief appearance in Harry Potter, when Hermione transports Ron, Harry and herself there in Deathly Hallows when they’re searching for Horcruxes.

But it also plays an important part in the Star Wars universe too, making it a super convenient location for those multifandom fans who want to explore it all.

Puzzlewood in the Forest of Dean provided the location for the forest scenes on Takodana, where Rey runs into the trees in order to escape the Stormtroopers and Kylo Ren. The 14-acre woodland area is perfect for pretending to be otherworldly, due to its many caves, mossy rocks and ancient trees. Daisy Ridley probably deserves a medal of some sort for not tripping up on all those roots. Don’t even get us started on poor BB-8.

The forest is open to visitors and has many pathways to help guide them on their way, perfect for any Star Wars fans who want to recreate Rey’s dash across the woods, or for those who want to take their Kylo Ren lightsaber and do some good old-fashioned looming.

Plus, for those of you who are truly multifandom, hear this: it has played home to Merlin and Doctor Who, and it is also said to be one of the inspirations for Middle Earth in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings saga. The author was a frequent visitor to the Forest of Dean and therefore, like J.K. Rowling and Hermione, familiar with the nooks and crannies of Puzzlewood.

To be fair, we get it. Even the name sounds magical.
