Shazam! has had a slow build up when it comes to publicity and awareness of the film, but as io9 discussed, people are starting to get behind the idea of the film. Zachary Levi, who used to star in the Marvel Cinematic Universe before switching to the DCEU, is taking on Shazam and his comedic timing is clear in the trailer.

The movie is set for an April 5 release, which is slightly earlier than when Saturday Night Live has their final superhero host (which normally ends up being the third to last episode depending on the release of either a Marvel or DCEU film). Still, Zachary has a history of comedic acting and would do very well on the show.

He knows what it is like to be in front of a live audience (he was on Broadway in She Loves Me a few years ago) and he spent the early part of his career on Chuck, a light-hearted comedy. Let’s get Shazam to take on studio 8H!
