Sarah Paulson gave an interview where she talks American Horror Story and what it’s like playing three characters in one season of the show.

With American Horror Story: Apocalypse premiering on Wednesday, fans (including us) are very excited to see what’s to come from the crossover event of Murder House and Coven.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Sarah Paulson talked about what to expect from this newest season. In Apocalypse, Paulson herself will be playing three characters, and in the interview, she talks a little bit about filming Cult and her multiple Emmy nominations before giving some information about Apocalypse.

When asked about the crossover event and playing two characters, for which both received Emmy nominations, she had this to say:

"The unique thing about this show is that every year we are basically starting from scratch. I’m not coming back to work and putting on the same outfit that I wore as a character last season. We’re not picking up right where we left off and that’s really exciting."

She was also asked about playing multiple characters in the upcoming season. This is something that has raised a lot of questions from fans. We are all looking forward to seeing how Paulson pulls this off, but we know if anyone is up for the task that she is.

“I shot two of the characters that I’m playing on the same day. Although they are not interacting with one another, I shot one in the morning and a different character in the evening.”

We are all wondering what the newest season will look like in terms of plot and connecting to the other seasons, and Paulson also gave some insight into what to expect.

"To me, this season is going to be a little bit like an all-star special. Like The Love Boat with all the favorite guest stars ever where you open the door and you’re like, “Oh my god, there’s so and so!” It’s almost like a greatest hits album or something."

This definitely has us excited. We already knew that so many of our favorite actors and actresses would be returning for this season, and it sounds like, according to Paulson at least, there will be a lot of these exciting moments of recognition for fans watching Apocalypse.
