Savannah is the oldest city in Georgia. Established in 1733, the city has been influential in much of American history. Additionally, it is home to many first locations, like the first public art museum and the oldest rail facility. Also, the downtown area is considered one of the largest historic landmark districts in the U.S.

Specifically, in the late fall, the annual SCAD Savannah Film Festival brings thousands to the historic city to celebrate filmmaking, entertainment and the arts. Benefiting the Savannah College of Art and Design, the festival welcomes over 50,000 guests.
