And while it is undeniably disappointing for Potterheads to learn this news, fans should hold back on whipping out their wands and casting a Bat-Bogey Curse on the ones responsible for the mess.

Because there is nobody responsible. The repairs, according to the Daily Mail, have arisen because of the extreme heat that has occurred this year.

Extreme and unusual heat in Britain, has caused the famous Jacobite train that was used as the Hogwarts Express in Harry Potter to undergo extra maintenance.

This maintenance is no mere small task either. What is normally a job that is done twice, is estimated to be done four, maybe even five, times thanks to the weather. In order for the train to be worked on, it has to travel all the way down to Lancashire, as well. So hardly a guy down the road with a can of oil.

So, you can see why the cancellations have had to be made.

It could get worse for Potterheads however, as fans planning a trip after the Christmas period could be learning that they to will have their tickets canceled as well. For now, they haven’t but they should brace themselves for the possibility.
