How to watch Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in the UK tonight

It’s the start of eight weeks of Harry Potter in the UK. Tonight we go back to the beginning with Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and here’s how you can watch it live on ITV.

ITV is giving us eight weeks of magic and mystery showing all eight Harry Potter movies. It all starts off tonight with the reairing of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. There’s one movie a week, so make sure you plan nothing for the next eight Saturdays!

Harry Potter is going to Hogwarts. Not just that, but he’s learning all about the magical world and that he’s a wizard. After growing up with a room in the cupboard under the stairs and the worst muggles imaginable as guardians, Harry is getting to escape for parts of the year. Of course, he’ll have to go back in the summer but it’s one step in the right direction.

He just has to learn about the school first. When the Dursleys stop his letters from getting to him, Hagrid pays a personal visit and helps get Harry Potter ready for school. And we’re welcomed into the world of witches, wizards, curses, and magical creatures along with it.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone also made Daniel Radcliff, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint into stars. They grew up with these characters and, for some, it’s hard to imagine them as anyone else. This is a chance to go back to the very beginning and watch as the actors grow up with the movies.
