The Walking Dead’s season 9 synopsis and key art previews a world falling apart

In the newly released key art for season 9, Rick is looking mightly bloody. And sure, I love a good #BloodyRick visual. Then again, this is more of a red glow than being bloody, highlighting Rick and his friends amongst ruins and rubble.

Something interesting to focus on is Rick is wearing his sheriff’s hat again, one he has not donned for quite some time. Instead, he gifted it to Carl, who is long gone now. Thus, the hat may offer some dark foreshadowing for the end of Rick Grimes on The Walking Dead.
