Dexter

Dexter Morgan is a serial killer on a mission: target other serial killers. The catch? He works for the police department. Dexter also has a troubled past. As a toddler, he was found in a pool of his mother’s blood, and a police officer took him in and raised him as his son.

Throughout the course of the show, Dexter goes through his own emotional issues as well as his son living through the same experience he does as a child. The end of the series is less than happy and left fans wanting to see if Dexter was ever reunited with his son, Harrison.

Granted, that’s not the only reason we miss it. Dexter isn’t just a show filled with murder; it’s also a deeply psychological look into the mind of a killer. Dexter’s relationship with his sister, Deb, and his overcoming his personal dilemmas to have connections in his life made fans care for this relatively cold man.

We wanted him to be okay, and that’s why we tuned in week after week. Seeing what happened to him with Rita and how he had to raise Harrison on his own, we fell in love with Dexter. So yes, we miss you and your murderous ways, Dex.
