The Nanny

When Fran Fine meets the Sheffield family, her life is changed for the better. Fran Drescher brought Fran Fine to life, giving us a fashion icon to love until the end of our days in the process. Fran and Maxwell’s lovely story certainly helps move the show along, but if Fran just showed up week after week in cool outfits instead, we probably would have still been on board.

When Fran’s boyfriend kicks her out, she has no place to go. Maxwell Sheffield, a rich Broadway producer, needs someone to help him watch his children and thus the show is born. Throughout the beginning of the show, there’s just continual sexual tension between Maxwell and Fran. Eventually, they get married and have children of their own.

Sure, we’ve had some reunions, and the cast still seems to chat occasionally, but The Nanny was a show that most of us remember coming home after school and watching on a loop. It was fun, light-hearted, and showed that opposites could really attract.

How about a reboot of The Nanny? At least just a little one to see how everyone is doing now! We miss the Sheffields more than we’d like to admit, even C.C. and Niles. (Okay, we miss Niles more than C.C.)
