Central Park (Avengers, Avengers: Infinity War)

Because it is such a staple of the city, Central Park is featured throughout Marvel culture and can be seen constantly in the movies and television shows. And who doesn’t want to spend their day in this amazing park? There’s always something new to see and explore!

In the first Avengers movie, we Central Park right at the end. This is where Thor walks Loki off in handcuffs, and they fly away to Asgard. The other Avengers are left there, and you can stand in their footsteps on Terrace Drive (around 72nd Street) overlooking the Bethesda Fountain.

Central Park is also where Pepper Potts and Tony Stark decide to go on a walk in the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War before they’re greeted by Doctor Strange. A beautiful area of Manhattan, Central Park is a must for everyone to see — especially if you’re a Marvel fan!

What you can do:

  • Take a Thor and Loki-style photo on Terrace Drive, and pretend like you’re ready to head to Asgard.
  • Go to Bow Bridge. It’s featured in Doctor Who and has a beautiful view of the lake!
  • Take a bike and explore the park, there is so much to see that it is easier to just ride around!
  • If it is summer time, try to hit up Shakespeare in the Park. It’s free and fun!

Location: Central Manhattan

How to get there: On the Midtown Manhattan end of the park (where most tourists visit), you can take the A/C or B/D train to Columbus Circle, or the 1 or 2 train. The N/R/W at 5th Avenue will take you to the eastern end of the park.

Cost: Free!
