7. 2 Dope Queens

Of course, no list of feminist podcasts would be nearly complete without a nod to the incredible Phoebe Robinson and Jessica Williams. 2 Dope Queens is essentially feminist listening and, though I’m surely preaching to the choir, you need to get this in your earbuds if you haven’t already.

Starting out in 2 Dope Queens is WYNC’s first comedy podcast and is taped in front of a live audience. Each episode, Phoebe and Jessica chat to a different guest (the line-up of past guests is literally unreal — Tig Notaro, Marc Maron, Aparna Nancherla to name but a few).

There’s not too much to say about 2 Dope Queens that hasn’t already been said, but let me just reiterate… this needs to be your go-to for feminist podcast listening. Phoebe and Jessica are brilliant hosts, with the ability to find humor in just about anything. Though recorded live, the podcast always feels intimate and personal.

If you need a top up of Phoebe? You must listen to the spin-off podcast Sooo Many White Guys. That’s right. 2 Dope Queens are big enough to now have their own spin-off and it’s every bit as good as its parent podcast.
