10 feminist podcasts we should all be listening to right now

6. Made of Human
Danish born, UK based comedian Sofie Hagen has been making us laugh (and sometimes cry) for years with her ground-breaking and hilarious stand-up. Fortunately for us, Sofie also started her own podcast, Made of Human, in 2017 and has already passed 100 episodes. Plenty to be cracking on with if you’ve never given it a listen before!
Originally intended to be Sofie asking weekly guests questions on “how to be an adult human,” the podcast explores how none of us really know what we are doing. She’s had an incredible range of guests on the show — BodiPosiPanda, Avery Edison, Lolly Adefope to name but a few.
What makes MOHPOD so special is the deep dive conversations that Sofie has with her guests, and the honesty and raw integrity of those who come onto the podcast. They often discuss incredibly sensitive topics and many guests have commented on the podcast as being akin to a therapeutic experience. Amongst the difficult subjects, there is also a lot of humor, which is a hard balance to strike but Sofie does it well.
Listen out for the “acts of disobedience” section at the beginning of some episodes. Sofie reads out listeners emails detailing a time when they’ve stuck it to the patriarchy.
