“Finesse” – Bruno Mars feat. Cardi B

Cardi B has had a huge 2018, so you better expect to see her a few more times on this list. When Cardi teamed up with Bruno Mars for a remix of his ’90s-inspired single “Finesse,” you just knew she was about to turn some serious throwback looks, and Cardi definitely delivered.

The video opens with Bardi looking like she stepped right off the step of In Living Color or a very special episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She’s rocking some huge hoop earrings (naturally), a backwards baseball cap, a color-blocked bomber, a graphic tee with a monster face on it, and some seriously short denim cutoffs. Of course, she finished the look off with some tube socks and sneakers, because it wouldn’t be the ’90s without them!

Bruno Mars is used to being the center of attention whether on stage or in his videos, because that man demands all eyes on him with his vocals and his expert footwork. But this time all eyes were on Cardi. Bruno and his dancers were sporting some major ’90s throwback looks too, but they don’t hold a candle to the rapper’s fun, colorful vintage look.

While you might want to try and recreate Cardi’s look — since the ’90s fashion resurgence is in full swing in 2018 — it might be a little more difficult than you think. According to her stylist, a lot of the pieces in the video were from Jeremy Scott and Moschino. Those brands might break the bank, but thankfully, you can probably get similar finds from your local thrift shops!
