“Make Me Feel” – Janelle Monáe

This past year has been a huge one for Janelle Monáe. After taking some time away from music to be a bona fide movie star — and appearing in Oscar nominated films like Hidden Figures and Moonlight — Monae came back with her megahit album Dirty Computer and gave us look after look to go along with all the great songs she was releasing.

She’s no stranger to making fashion statements, though. When she first hit the scene, she was known for her impeccable tailored suits and more androgynous style. She slowly moved away from the suits to prove that she was no one-trick pony, and “Make Me Feel” is proof that the artist looks amazing in pretty much anything.

Where do we even begin with this one? As usual, Janelle’s makeup and hair are flawless in every shot, so we’re not surprised. She rocks a patterned suit with a short blonde wig, red and white heeled boots, and a cropped white t-shirt, with a cool pair of shades and mismatched earrings. But that’s just in the first scene.

Two of the best looks come right after that. She rocks a pair of sheer pants embroidered with roses, silver boots, and a simple white tank and a red beret, and we are speechless. It’s pretty hard to pull off a pair of sheer pants, but if anyone could make it work, it would be Janelle Monáe. And that’s not even the best look.

While jamming out on the guitar, Janelle is in a crystal bikini top, matching crystal pants and knee-high boots, and a crystal headpiece. We’re a sucker for anything sparkly, so this head to toe crystal outfit is everything! These are only three of the outfits she wears in the video, and there are plenty more where that came from. We love a queen who can turn look after look after look!
