“God Is A Woman” – Ariana Grande

Ariana is giving us insane visuals for this new era, and we’re here for every minute of it. For the music video for “God Is A Woman,” the singer looks better than she ever has before.

First, we need to discuss the shot of her resting in a pool of paint and water (which is shaped not-so-coincidentally like a vagina). She is naked and bodypainted, and even with no clothes on, that is a look! She looks like a living piece of art.

Throughout the video, Ariana sticks with that living art theme. Each shot is like a painting, and she is stunning in each one. Even when she’s just wearing a simple black dress with her hair in waves, the visuals add that much more flair.

That’s not to say there aren’t more extravagant pieces, though. That gold leaf collar she’s wearing is high-fashion and glamorous, and the gold bodice she wears in the final shot as she recreates The Creation of Adam (but this time, with Eve), is a real showstopper, too.

The best part of the video is when Ariana is mouthing along to the word of God — voiced by Madonna — while wearing a helmet (equipped with cat ears), a black dress, leather gloves emblazoned with the word power, and a sledgehammer. She throws that sledgehammer right into the air and smashes the glass ceiling, because Ariana Grande is giving us all the feminist iconography we want!

We’re definitely not discussing those shrieking gophers, though. They just don’t make any sense!
