Cheers

The last episode of Cheers was more about nostalgia than the actual plot of the episode. Sam Malone, a man who struggled with addiction, continued to struggle with a sex addiction while his old flame, Diane, comes back into his life.

Making sure everyone was relatively well-off, the show wrapped up everything we love about Cheers and made sure that we were content. The problem? Everyone is still in love with the show. No matter when you get into it, it’ll reach into your heart and make you want to go where everybody knows your name.

A perfect example of this love for Cheers that we still have is in The Good Place. There, Ted Danson, who played Sam Malone in Cheers, plays a being who helps torture those souls who end up in the Bad Place. The problem is that he starts to befriend these people and so when they are testing whether or not they belong in the Good Place, he has to go and meet with Eleanor without her remembering him.

And where does that happen? With Ted Danson behind a bar as a bartender and the internet promptly lost their minds because when it comes to Ted, if he flicks a towel onto his shoulder, we are going to cry.
