Tiffany Haddish set for new Netflix stand up special

One of the funniest ladies in showbiz Tiffany Haddish is getting her own Netflix stand up special, and honestly, it’s about time!

Tiffanny Haddish has had a busy couple years, and it’s only about to get busier! The comedian and actress is set to headline her own brand new one-hour stand up special on Netflix, and we already can’t wait for it.

“Tiffany Haddish is a force,” Lisa Nishimura said, Netflix’s vice president of original documentary and comedy, according to Variety, “Hilariously funny, brash and self-effacing, she’s an incredible artist who is winning over audiences while breaking barriers, and we are tremendously proud that she will showcase her formidable talent on Netflix.”

The Netflix special will be recorded in early 2019, and it’s set to be released sometime later in the year.

Haddish has been on a roll since her breakout role in the hit 2017 comedy Girls Trip, co-starring Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, and Jada Pinkett Smith. The film earned widespread acclaim, and she’s been in demand ever since. Her first stand up special, Tiffany Haddish: She Ready! From the Hood to Hollywood, aired on Showtime last year, and she also released her first book, The Last Black Unicorn

Next up for Haddish is the upcoming film Night School, co-starring Kevin Hart, and The Oath. You’ll also be able to hear her voice in the animated films The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part and The Secret Life of Pets 2.

The Tiffany Haddish train doesn’t look like it’s slowing down anytime soon. She’ll be partnering with Netflix again, but this time you can hear her voice in the animated Series Tuca & Bertie — from the people who brought us BoJack Horseman. Haddish currently stars alongside Tracy Morgan in the comedy series The Last OG, and she’s also executive producing a comedy project called Unsubscribed for HBO. Phew, does she ever take a breather?
