Sirius Black and Remus Lupin are still the most written ship

In the year of 2018, Remus Lupin and Sirius Black still have more fanfiction written about them than a lot of popular characters.

In a surprising turn of events, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin are still some of the most popular characters to write fanfiction about. Which, when you think about it, isn’t that terribly that shocking. We’re all still screaming about how we wish there was a Marauders series.

Remus and Sirius were friends since they were kids, two boys who loved the company of one another and understood their friend better than themselves at times. So why not have these two in a romantic pairing? Is it because Sirius Black was depicted as beautiful? Sure, we was beautiful but he also clearly had no game with women. Maybe because he was in love with his best friend.

It might just be that most of us ship Sirius Black with happiness and a lot of time that happiness comes with Remus but still, we also ship it because the two have a mutual love of one another that almost doesn’t exist in the series otherwise.

If we had a Marauders series, we could explore their dynamic more and maybe even come up with answers about how they interact. But since J.K Rowling is dragging her feet, the amount of Sirius Black and Remus Lupin fanfiction and fan art isn’t a shock. People love their werewolf and his dog and that means we’re going to create content for them.

If Rowling won’t do it, we’ll just have to create it ourselves because we love Remus and Sirius!
