1995 – Toy Story

Toy Story convinced every kid out there that their toys were going to come to life at night and have conversations without them. In a good way though. Buzz Lightyear and Woody the Cowboy were Andy’s toys and they were just trying to be the best for him.

When Sid, the creepy kid next door, gets ahold of them, they have to fight back to make sure they can make it home to Andy. Toy Story is the start of our obsession with Pixar. There is always moments when Pixar reaches into our hearts and rips them out.

With Toy Story, a lot of related it back to our favorite toys and what they would be like if they were alive. Would our Woody doll be the leader? Hopefully, he’d fall in love with Little Bo Peep and that he and Buzz Lightyear would eventually get along.

We could finally have relationships with our toys and see how they loved each other. Now, as adults, it holds a nostalgia to it that we all want to revisit. Getting to go back into our childhoods so that we can see our favorite toys? Everyone wants to go back to being a kid.
