Twitter wants Newt Scamander to come to Brazil! At least in the movies

A fan asked J.K Rowling if Newt Scamander would come to Brazil and honestly, it is the meme that will just keep on giving. Also, she said maybe.

“Come to Brazil” has now made its mark on Newt Scamander. When J.K Rowling took to Twitter to talk about the adventures that Newt, Tina Goldstein, Gillert Grindelwald and the rest of the cast of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them could go on, someone asked her what about Brazil?

Was that user being serious or making a call to a meme from the stan side of Twitter? Because for those who don’t know, “Come to Brazil” is a stan Twitter meme based around fans who continually ask their favorite actors or bands to go to Brazil.

Did Rowling understand that? Absolutely not.

What’s interesting is that Newt is continuing as the character traveling in the next three movies, meaning we might not end up getting closer to the Marauders or Voldemort in the series. Is it really going to be five movies about Newt and his journey against Grindelwald?

Why would we do that when, with the other three, we can watch the growing tensions in the wizarding world with Voldemort and then the Potters prior to Harry? Wouldn’t that be cooler? If we do have to see Newt in Brazil, it’ll be interesting to see how they continue to come up with storylines and connecting it to the world we know.

Would it be fun if Newt did actually go to Brazil? Of course but we’ll have to wait and see where his future adventures take him! Check back here in Wizards and Whatnot for more content as we get closer to the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
