Before we jump right into it, let’s quickly remind ourselves of the traits of each Hogwarts House.

Gryffindor

With a Lion as its crest, Gryffindors are known for the values in bravery, determination and virtues of courage.

Ravenclaw

Ravenclaws, above all else, prize, wit, learning and wisdom; an eagle represents those from Ravenclaw.

Hufflepuff

Valuing loyalty, patience, fair play and hard work; Hufflepuffs are represented by the badger on their house crest.

Slytherin

Ambitious, proud and cunning, Slytherin has been known to turn out leaders, both good and bad; a serpent mounts its crest.

Ok, let’s get to it. We have a lot of celebrities to go through and to begin with we will look at those who are part of the Wizarding World.

Eddie Redmayne

Just like his character Newt Scamander in the Fantastic Beasts series, Eddie Redmayne is a proud Hufflepuff. So proud that he routinely defends his house and happily informs anyone who asks that he belongs to Hufflepuff and is proud.

Ezra Miller

Ezra Miller is one of those celebrities who knows where he belongs and is not letting anyone tell him otherwise. And that includes the Harry Potter sorting quiz as well. Miller is so sure that he is a Gryffindor that he won’t take the quiz. He doesn’t need to.

Evanna Lynch

She might play Luna the Ravenclaw but Evanna Lynch is actually a Gryffindor. And if you think that the sorting may have got it wrong, Lynch took the quiz again some years later and once more, it sorted her in Gryffindor.

Rupert Grint

Ron Weasley is no Gryffindor. He is actually a Hufflepuff. This comes as no surprise really. Ron, I mean Grint, loves food, and we all know the Hufflepuff common room is next to the kitchens so it kind of makes sense really.

Matthew Lewis

Another Hufflepuff spy in the Gryffindor common room; Matthew Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom in Harry Potter, is also a Hufflepuff in real life.

Tom Felton

It must have been a painful day for Felton when he went and got sorted. It turns out he is not quite right for Slytherin; he is actually a secret Gryffindor.

Bonnie Wright

A Gryffindor on screen and off, Bonnie Wright was definitely the right choice to play Ginny Weasley. Not that we needed telling that really.

Daniel Radcliffe

You would hope that the man who played Harry Potter for so long would be sorted into Gryffindor. Maybe that is why he has never gone and taking the sorting quiz, he is too scared to be sorted elsewhere. However, Radcliffe fully believes he would be in Gryffindor and you know what, that is enough for me.

Now let’s take a look at the celebrities who have been sorted but are not part of the Harry Potter world; just big Potterheads.

The Rock/Dwayne Johnson

The Rock is known for a lot of things. He is a guy who has been there and got the t-shirt in all aspects of life, and is damn proud Hufflepuff.

Margot Robbie

Sorted into Gryffindor Robbie may actually belong to every Hogwarts Houses in Harry Potter. The Suicide Squad actress confessed that she may have rigged the answers a little bit because she was desperate to be in Gryffindor. By doing this she showed some Gryffindor determination, Ravenclaw wit, Hufflepuff hard work and some Slytherin cunning.

Darren Criss

Considering himself a Ravenclaw at heart Criss has admitted that his character from Glee is actually a Gryffindor.

The Walking Dead star is a huge self-confessed Potterhead. When it came out he would be narrating the Harry Potter books, he happily told the world how much he loved the Wizarding World and more importantly, that he is a Gryffindor.

Ariana Grande

Suspected of being a Gryffindor, Ariana Grande revealed to the world that she is actually a Slytherin.

Kitt Harrington

Harrington hasn’t actually completed the official sorting but he is certain that if he did take it, he would be a Gryffindor. Maybe he will confirm it after Game of Thrones.

Kelly Marie Tran

The Star Wars actress as been sorted into Ravenclaw but she isn’t overly impressed with the decision. Making it known that she would rather be in Gryffindor, she is pretty certain she would get her wish as she would just tell the sorting hat where she is going.

Stephen Colbert has been sorted into his Hogwarts House but not in the traditional way. Rather than take the quiz he went directly to Rowling herself during his shows who placed him in Ravenclaw.

Deadpool

By far the best celebrity on the list, Deadpool is a Hufflepuff. It was shown in one of the older comic editions of the Merc with a Mouth and you can clearly see him dressed in some Hufflepuff robes. This Harry Potteraddition to the comic has been confirmed by the editor as well, so you know it is official. Deadpool is a Hufflepuff.
