Dame Judi Dench

This entire section is just going to be envisioning Dame Judi Dench playing Dungeons and Dragons with Vin Diesel because it actually happened. That’s right, lovely Dame Judi herself is a nerd. Which, if it wasn’t Dungeons and Dragons then we’d be talking about that internet bit where she kept begging Daisy Ridley to tell her Star Wars spoilers with Josh Gad on the set of Murder on the Orient Express.

But Dungeons and Dragons is definitely weirder, and better. On the set of The Chronicles of Riddick, Vin Diesel apparently taught Dame Judi Dench who to play. Does that mean that she still partakes? We may never know, but at least we have this visual in our heads.

The idea that Dame Judi Dench sat down and let someone explain Dungeons and Dragons to her is enough to get her on this list. She’s celeb royalty and she was down to play DND — be still, our nerdy hearts.

Is this the nerdiest thing someone who is a dame has ever done? Probably? But also Dame Judi Dench is awesome and always seems like she’s ready for whatever wild thing her costars want to do. So maybe she’s just a nerd for fun and that’s totally cool.
