Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger: 3 things we want to see in the season finale

Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger heads into the season 1 finale with a lot at stake. Who knows what will happen? We have three big wishes of what we want to see.

Cloak and Dagger ended this week’s episode on a big cliffhanger for all of our characters. Detective O’Reilly got the crap kicked out of her by Detective Connors, out on bail. Tandy’s mom is at gunpoint by a Roxxon agent. And Tyrone has a SWAT team after him, claiming he murdered Officer Fuchs.

There’s a lot going on and a lot that can happen. And Cloak and Dagger hasn’t really opened the throttle quite yet on our two main characters and their powers. As we head into the first season finale, we have a couple of things we want to see happen.

MARVEL’S CLOAK & DAGGER – “Funhouse Mirrors” – Tyrone heads down a dangerous path to get closer to Det. Connors, as Tandy pretends to be a Roxxon intern in an attempt to get answers. Her “internship” hits a little too close to home for Tandy when she gets a glimpse at what her life could have been like. Meanwhile, Det. O’Reilly gets closer to Det. Connors and Evita’s Aunt Clarisse worries about Tyrone’s future. This episode of “Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger” airs Thursday, July 5 (8:00 – 9:00 p.m. EDT) on Freeform. (Freeform/Skip Bolen)

Connors should get what’s coming to him

We’ve known to hate Detective Connors since the first few scenes of the season premiere. He shot a kid point-blank and then covered it up. No one knew the truth except for him and Tyrone. There was no justice for Billy.

And there still may be no justice, if his threats to O’Reilly are even remotely true. Marvel shows like to not give the bad guys their comeuppance.

Which is why we really need to see Connors permanently behind bars. It would give Tyrone some peace of mind (and perhaps a little less anger?) and freedom.

But at the very least, we need to see O’Reilly kick the crap out of him. After all, he was more than likely behind the murder of Officer Fuchs.

MARVEL’S CLOAK & DAGGER – “Princeton Offense” – Tandy is consumed with getting answers about the Roxxon cover up. To get the answers she is looking for, Tandy tests out her power to gain new insights. Tyrone, on the other hand, is focusing on being a normal kid as the basketball state finals approach. With so much weighing on him lately, can he truly push everything to the side and win the big game for Billy? Meanwhile, Det. OÕReilly looks into the cityÕs drug problems to get some answers of her own. This episode of “MarvelÕs Cloak & Dagger” airs Thursday, June 28 (8:00 – 9:01 p.m. EDT) on Freeform. Give Tandy and her mom some closure

There’s a lot to digest in the relationship between Tandy and her mother. They’re both volatile women with demons to battle, and while they both seemed to turn the corner in the last episode or two, that doesn’t mean much.

Especially when there’s a gun pointed at her mother’s head.

So much remains unspoken between these two that by the end of this week’s finale, we need some character development. Even if it’s just her mother admitting that Tandy’s father wasn’t perfect.

Or Tandy admitting that she’s been trying to take down Roxxon. Something that shows these two have learned from everything that’s happened so far this season. And that secrets are not helpful to anyone.

MARVEL’S CLOAK & DAGGER – “Lotus Eaters” – A mysterious man may be the key for Tandy to finally clear her fatherÕs name. Unfortunately getting the answers she needs will be difficult as the man has been in a catatonic state for almost a decade. But it might not be so impossible for two people with extraordinary powers. With Tyrone alongside to help, the two test their combined powers for the first time. This episode of “MarvelÕs Cloak & Dagger” airs Thursday, July 12 (8:00 – 9:00 p.m. EDT) on Freeform. Give us that Cloak and Dagger team-up

So far the closest we’ve come to seeing Tandy and Tyrone use their powers together was when they entered the mind of Ivan Hess.

Since then? Nothing. Before then? Nothing, aside from slamming into opposite walls from getting too close.

But we’re past them testing their powers. They both have a solid grasp on them. Tyrone has his brother’s cloak. Tandy knows how to steal happiness.

And they are both ready to kick some serious ass to fix their current situations. We need them to do it.
