James Corden became an honorary Backstreet Boy for a day

As if James Corden couldn’t become any more iconic, the late night talk show host proved us wrong by becoming a temporary Backstreet Boy.

Backstreet’s back, alright! This time they’ve got a new member. On his Late Late Show, James Corden joined the iconic boy band on stage in Las Vegas for one of their “Larger Than Life”  performances. After having the boys on his show a while ago when they sang their hit song “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back),” James decided to live out his dream of becoming a member one last time.

The late night host joined the group backstage before one of their rehearsals and hilariously offered up his services in the hopes of officially becoming a member and allowing one lucky guy to take a break from performing. Winning in a “landslide” vote, it’s decided that Brian Littrell is the one to be replaced (against his will).

Coming up with his own choreography during rehearsal and using every means possible to claim the spotlight, James managed to get his way and was temporarily initiated into the group. The Late Late host went through all of the steps to become a member: from rehearsal, to “meet and greets” with fans, ending with an epic show.

You can watch Corden as an honorary member of the Backstreet Boys in the hilarious video below:

Even though we only got one song from him, James proved to be the missing Backstreet Boy we never knew we needed. Maybe in the future, we can get a full-out album from Corden and the Boys that’s bound to be a smash hit.
