Gabby and Matt – Chicago Fire
Their love story: Matt Casey might be the last of the true heroes on TV. He’s just a plain ol’ decent fella who deserves the best. This is part of the reason fans balked when he developed feelings for Gabby Dawson. She is impetuous and selfish, and we could see a disaster coming a mile away.
Their relationship has suffered a series of stops and starts that would make even the most tenacious couples give up, but through it all, Casey has been patient and loving while Gabby acts spoiled and secretive.
Did they or didn’t they: Season 6 saw them hit some bumpy roads, although they continued to stay together. However, the season 6 finale indicated Gabby might be bailing out of it altogether and in season 7 she officially left town. I wasn’t sad to see her go. She was never good enough for sweet Matt, anyway.
