Jonathan and Nancy – Stranger Things

Their love story: These two came together in the most extreme of circumstances. When Nancy (Natalia Dyer) first noticed Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) they were in the throes of a full-on attack from genetically engineered monsters. Extreme times can foster all sorts of feelings, and fighting off a sci-fi villain can really bring folks together.

Nancy and Jonathan are also closely related to the whole “upside” down thing, and keeping the secret and playing amateur sleuths really made them see how much they like each other. Besides, there is nothing sexier than hand to hand combat with a slimy, toothy, relentless beast, and these two have can commiserate about this all night. And they do.

Did they or didn’t they: It’s yet to be seen if these two go the distance, but we know they took their relationship to the next level while investigating the big bad. Nancy also is Jonathan’s constant champion, standing up for him against bullies and aggressors. Jonathan is Nancy’s confidant, understanding her worry and concern over her brother since his brother is in imminent danger as well. These two have a lot to overcome, but we’re definitely rooting for them.

How to watch: All seasons of Stranger Things are available on Netflix and is totally consumable in one weekend. It’s got lots of ‘shipping potential, besides Nancy and Jonathan, and has so many ’80s vibes, you might not even notice how creeped out you are.
