San Diego Comic-Con is known for attracting celebrities who delight fans while geeking out over the energized atmosphere, and 2018 stayed true to tradition!

San Diego Comic-Con 2018 drew fans eager to listen to their favorite celebrities dish on topics ranging from comic books to pop culture to movies and TV. The adventure began on July 18, and we’ve got your inside look at the celebrities who geeked out at Comic-Con in 2018.

Mark Hamill (maybe?)

Luke himself maybe hit the Comic-Con floor in disguise, which makes plenty of sense as he’d be mobbed by fans otherwise. The Star Wars legend was reportedly dressed as a First Order Stormtrooper and “Orange Vader.” However, The San Diego Tribune shared today that the Orange Vader we all thought was Hamill was not the actor after all.

Now, as Hamill does love attending SDCC, it is possible he was there. If you think you saw him, let us know!

Jodie Whittaker

Jodie Whittaker headed to Comic-Con 2018 in San Diego, bravely and boldly setting aside the Twitter brouhaha over her casting as the first-ever female lead for the sci-fi series Doctor Who. At a press conference prefacing the panel on Thursday morning, she asserted that the best part of playing the Doctor is that she’s not portraying either gender.

“I’m an alien, so there’s really no rules,” pointed out Whittaker. “It’s an amazing moment, and not one I thought would happen.”

Just as amazing: Jodie let herself geek out over the Comic-Con experience. As the fans cheered during the Q&A to a young girl’s revelation that she had been “waiting for a girl Doctor for a very long time,” Jodie admitted she was moved to the point of tears.

Conan O’Brien

Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it’s off to Comic-Con for Conan O’Brien. O’Brien is the type of celebrity we love: Not hesitant to admit that he totally geeks out over going to Comic-Con.

“This is our fourth year at Comic-Con. That’s right. I’ve been coming to Comic-Con for four years,” boasted Conan. “Or to put that in terms everyone at Comic-Con understands, ’17 Spiderman movies.'”

O’Brien also geeks out over Breaking Bad, and he interviewed some of the stars to get their perspective on the 10th anniversary of the series. A revelation from Bryan Cranston: Walter White might not be dead!

Bryan pointed out that he has not viewed a coroner’s report or obituary. As for the creator of Breaking Bad, Vince Gilligan, Conan’s sleuthing turned up the fact that Vince thought about killing Walt Jr. (oh no!). Luckily, his writers were so upset by the notion that he saved the character.

John Barrowman

SQUEEEE! For his very own panel, “Anything Goes With John Barrowman!,” the alumn of Doctor Who sported a Captain America outfit. Dazzle us, dude!

And in the ultimate Comic-Con celebrity geeking out scenario, John geeked out when a fan asked him about his feelings regarding Jodie Whittaker as the first female to take on the lead Doctor Who role

“I’m ready for her,” gushed the actor. “I think it’s great. I think it’s about time… She’s strong, and she’s strong-willed, and she’s going to lead other people… She is going to take us on some incredible journeys.”

Well, said, John!

Jamie Lee Curtis

Jamie Lee Curtis had the ultimate geek-out experience at San Diego Comic-Con. A fan geeked out over Jamie, and she geeked out for the fan. The emotional meeting occurred when an audience member, Jeffrey Scott, participated in a Q&A. He shared that when an intruder with a knife terrified him in his home, he thought “What would Jamie Lee Curtis do?”

Scott credited Jamie for helping him survive. She stepped down from the panel to hug him and pose for photos.

We geek out over these Comic-Con lovin’ celebs

What’s geekier than us geeking out over celebrities loving every second of Comic-Con? We love that a member of the group TLC, Chilli, just couldn’t play it cool when she took on the role of moderator for Siren on Freeform. The songstress lurves the show, and she geeked out over questioning the executive producers about season 2.

Other celebrities who appeared at San Diego Comic-Con 2018 (and one adorable baby):

  • Aaron Paul stepped on stage with an armful of baby. Story Annabelle Paul stole the spotlight at the Breaking Bad 10th Anniversary Celebration at Comic-Con 2018.
  • No need to call 411 to identify this celebrity: Andy Samberg showed up at the Brooklyn Nine-Nine Press Line as part of the Comic-Con excitement.
  • Sterling K. Brown and Olivia Munn took part in The Predator Comic-Con panel.
  • Sofia Vergara was spotted accompanying her husband Joe Manganiello, while Jaron Varsano trotted along with his wife Gal Gadot.

And finally, we have to salute Chris Pratt and Jason Momoa uniting at Comic-Con in San Diego.

Those adorable youngsters are Jason’s offspring, Nakoa-Wolf and Lola, and the caption honors one of Pratt’s characters, Emmet from The Lego Movie.
