Shaun of the Dead

Zombie movies aren’t for everyone, but what if the zombie movie in question is actually funny? Shaun of the Dead is the first of the trilogy that Simon Pegg and his friend Nick Frost made. And it just so happens to star Etta Candy (Lucy Davis) from Wonder Woman! 

When the zombie apocalypse hits a small town in England, Shaun and his friends have to find a way to survive. For most of the movie, though, Shaun is worried about his record collection and getting back to a girl who broke up with him to make sure she’s safe because, you know, the end of the world and all of that.

It is a perfect comedy and a great introduction into the zombie genre without making it too scary for the audience. More often than not, zombie movies terrify us to the point where we don’t want to watch the film. Shaun of the Dead balances the horror with the humor in a brilliant way.

Also Pegg and Davis are in the same movie, so it’s a comedy lover’s dream as well as the start to one of the greatest comedy trilogies out there. So Shaun of the Dead isn’t your average zombie movie, but it is one that you’ll want to show all your friends.
