Howard Stark

Dominic Cooper came into our Marvel loving lives as Howard Stark in Captain America: The First Avenger and we loved him so much that he was in Marvel’s Agent Carter as well. Granted, he was only a younger Howard Stark (because Roger Sterling took on the role of Howard Stark in Tony’s flashback) but still.

There is something so quintessentially Stark about his performance. One of the greatest aspects of Tony’s character is his charm. It is made clear through Dominic’s performance that this is where Tony gets it from.

Howard Stark was known as an entrepreneur and a lady’s man before he ended up marrying Maria Stark. So seeing him that way, as compared to the father that Tony knew, is quite exciting to see. He very clearly wanted to do great things and succeeded. It’s just too bad that we couldn’t get more of Dominic Cooper as Howard.
