Check out July’s free PS Plus games that you can play now
If you liked Detroit: Become Human and are looking for more quick-time decision-making gameplay, Heavy Rain is one of this month’s free PS Plus games.
This month, the free PS Plus games are Heavy Rain and Absolver for the PS4, Rayman 3 HD and Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess for the PS3, and Space Overlords and Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma for the PS Vita.
Heavy Rain
Made by Quantic Dream, the same studio that produced the recent Detroit: Become Human, Heavy Rain has similar gameplay and mood. You’ll play through the story, moving between four different characters as you try to find a murderer known as the Origami Killer. Like Detroit, there are multiple endings and your decisions change the story.
Absolver
Absolver is a multiplayer action role-playing game based around martial arts combat. The art style is gorgeous and it’s been compared to gameplay similar to Dark Souls and Street Fighter. Player characters fight through other players to prove their worth and unlock new armor, equipment, and combat moves.
Rayman 3 HD
This is a remaster of Rayman 3, a classic platformer that’s been updated with HD graphics and remastered audio. Featuring 15-20 hours of gameplay, mini-games, and leaderboards, this third game of the Rayman series is perfect for fans of the series and newcomers alike.
Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess
In Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess, you play as Laegrinna, the devil’s daughter with the goal of breaking the seal imprisoning your father. You’ll set traps and pay close attention to timing to lure and defeat enemies.
Space Overlords
The goal of Space Overlords is to destroy buildings and defenses of planets to rid them of the evil that’s contaminating them. You’ll name a galaxy, create planets and share them with the community.
Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma
This adventure puzzle game alternates animated narrative sections with escape-the-room puzzles. Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma‘s story puts nine characters in a death game that’s run by the mysterious Zero.
