Finally, after all this time, we’re finally getting Harry Potter Barbie dolls!

It’s only been quite a few years but we’re finally getting some Harry Potter Barbie dolls. Just, you know, 21 years after the first book was released.

You know when you were a kid and loved Harry Potter and wanted a doll? Well now you can finally get the Barbie you wanted as a child! Mattel has announced that after all these years, we’re finally getting a Harry Potter series of their classic Barbie dolls.

Only 21 years later but still. The set includes younger versions of our favorite three (Harry, Ron, and Hermione) but also has Barbie versions of both Professor Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall.

What is just a little confusing about this set is that it comes at a time when most of the Harry Potter fans who would have loved it have out grown their Barbie doll phase. If these dolls had come out in even 2000, we’d all have collector editions in our home.

Now though I don’t foresee many of the older fans running out to buy Barbie dolls, especially when there is a plethora of available dolls out there for us to own and most of us already do. That doesn’t mean that fans won’t go and buy them, especially with how cool they look. And they’re relatively affordable! At $20.97 a piece, they’re some of the cheaper Harry Potter merchandise out there.

That being said, the timing for their release is just interesting. Why not make Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them dolls? We’ll have to wait and see come their release! Maybe we’ll get a Newt Scamander after all.

Next: What about James Sirius and Lily Luna Potter in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child?

So are you going to go out and get your own Harry doll? Sound off in the comments below and let us know your thoughts!
